Warry Charles



Warry Charles (1857-1915) was a Chinese American businessman who was tried and convicted in organizing a hit during the Tong Wars in Boston's Chinatown.

Biography

Originally coming to America at the age of 11 by way of San Francisco, Charles lived in New Orleans and later New York City until his conviction in 1908, when he was sentenced to die in Charlestown State Prison, a sentence that was later commuted. He died of natural causes in 1915.
