Ward No. 42, Kolkata Municipal Corporation is an administrative division of Kolkata Municipal Corporation in Borough No. 5, covering parts of Burrabazar neighbourhood in central Kolkata, in the Indian state of West Bengal. It forms a city municipal corporation council electoral constituency and is a part of Jorasanko (Vidhan Sabha constituency).
Overview
The boundaries of the ward are: Mahatma Gandhi Road, Cotton Street and Bartala Street.are in the north. Rabindra Sarani is to the east. Raja Woodmunt Street, Biplabi Troilakaya Maharaj Sarani (earlier named Brabourne Road) with flyover and Biplabi Rashbehari Bose Road are to the south. Strand Road, C.I.T. Road, Netaji Subhas Road, Jagamohan Mallick Lane are to the west.
