Wantrapreneur is the name of the Business Plan Competition for Social Entrepreneurs, hosted by the social incubator Villgro in India. The idea behind Wantrapreneur is to identify talent who can think of ways and means to imagine practical innovations in the domains of energy, dairy, water and agriculture. Winners will get a cash award of Rs. 12 lakhs at the Villgro Awards Show to held in Chennai.
The word Wantrapreneur is also a pejorative slang word for a person who wants to be an entrepreneur, but has either not made the full commitment or is pursuing the endeavor in a haphazard manner.
