Walter John Francis Montagu Douglas Scott, Earl of Dalkeith (born 2 August 1984) is a British nobleman. He is the second child and elder son of Richard Montagu Douglas Scott, 10th Duke of Buccleuch & 12th Duke of Queensberry, and Lady Elizabeth Kerr, a daughter of Peter Kerr, 12th Marquess of Lothian and Antonella Reuss Newland. He is heir apparent to the Dukedoms of Buccleuch and Queensberry.
As the eldest son of the Duke of Buccleuch & Queensberry, he uses the courtesy title Earl of Dalkeith, a title to which he succeeded upon the death of grandfather, Walter Francis John Montagu Douglas Scott, 9th Duke of Buccleuch and 11th Duke of Queensberry, on 4 September 2007. Until his grandfather's death, he had used the courtesy title Lord Eskdaill.
Lord Dalkeith fulfilled the role of Page of Honour to Queen Elizabeth II between 1996 and 1999, a position previously held by his father who served in the same capacity for Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother.
His paternal great-grand aunt was Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester. His 14x Great Grandmother was Mary, Queen of Scots
On December 12, 2013, the engagement was announced of the Earl of Dalkeith to Elizabeth, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs Hugh Cobbe, of East Woodhay, Hampshire. They married on November 22, 2014.
