Walter Gerth (12 December 1914 — 10 January 1995) was a Sturmbannfuhrer (Major) in the Waffen-SS during World War II who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross which was awarded to recognize extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership by Nazi Germany during World War II.

Sturmbannfuhrer Walter Gerth was awarded the Knight's Cross in October 1943 after the Battle of Kharkov when in command of the 7th Battery, 3rd SS Panzer Artillery Regiment, 3rd SS Panzer Division Totenkopf.
