Waldron Cutting

Waldron Cutting is a 0.19 hectare (0.46 acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest, located in East Sussex, England. The site was notified in 1990 under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

This laneside cutting shows upper Ashdown Sand Formation (lower Hastings Beds Group) with siltstones and fine sandstones with sedimentary structures and 1 m-long Lycopodites plants in life position.

It is one of only two occurrences of the latter known in Ashdown Sand (Waldron Soil Bed).
