WTAX is an AM news/talk radio station licensed to and serving the Springfield, Illinois, United States, area. It broadcasts on both the 1240 AM and 93.5 frequencies. It previously also broadcast on 107.5 FM, via the W298AP translator, which once served as a second signal for sister adult hits station WABZ. The simulcast with W298AP lasted until January 31, 2017, when W298AP switched to oldies, simulcasting WDBR's HD3 subchannel.

WTAX carries The Rush Limbaugh Show, Wall Street Journal This Morning, Coast to Coast AM, Clark Howard, and The Laura Ingraham Show.

WTAX-FM was also the original call sign of WTAX's sister station at 103.7, now WDBR.
