WSLQ (99.1 FM) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Roanoke, Virginia, serving the New River Valley and Southwest Virginia. The station is owned and operated by Mel Wheeler, Inc. and broadcasts an Adult Contemporary format. WSLQ has one of the nine largest coverage areas of all FM radio stations in the United States. Its effective radiated power exceeds the current limit set by the Federal Communications Commission for Class C FM radio stations.
