WGLC-FM is a radio station licensed to Mendota, Illinois, covering Northern Illinois, including Mendota, LaSalle, Princeton, and Peru. WGLC-FM has a Classic Country music format and is owned by Mendota Broadcasting, Inc. The morning show is locally hosted by "Kevin & Charles" from 6 AM - 10 AM.

History

WGLC began as an AM station on September 1, 1964. Broadcasting on 1090 kc, with 250 watts during the daytime only. Studios were downtown, and the transmitter site was north of town by Restland Cemetery on County 251. The AM station went silent in 1998.

WGLC-FM signed-on September 1, 1965. It broadcast on 100.9 with 3,000 watts. Its original tower height was 98 feet. Today, it broadcasts on 100.1, the transmitter is 6,000 watts and its tower is 328 feet. The site is located by the fairgrounds, southeast of Mendota. It broadcasts from studios at 3905 Progress Blvd in Peru, shared with the other stations of Studstill Media.
