WATB broadcasts at a frequency of 1420 kHz with 1,000 watts of power during the daytime, and 51 watts at night with both situations using a directional signal pattern. The radio station is considered a Class D AM broadcast station by the Federal Communications Commission. The radio station's broadcast antenna and transmitter are located in Decatur, Georgia.

WATB has been granted an FCC construction permit to move to 1430 kHz, increase day power to 15,000 watts and increase night power to 158 watts. At night the antenna pattern will change from directional to nondirectional.
