WAIW (88.1 FM) is a radio station broadcasting the Air 1 Contemporary Christian format. Licensed to Wheaton, Illinois, United States, it serves the Chicago area. The station is currently owned by Educational Media Foundation (EMF). It first went on the air in 1947 as AM station WHON operating just 23 hours per week but began broadcasting 24 hours a day in 1984.
EMF purchased the license for the then-WETN from Wheaton College effective February 28, 2017 for $150,000. The station changed its call sign to WAIW on March 1, 2017.
