WAAW (94.7 FM) is an urban gospel station located in the Aiken, South Carolina radio market. The station is licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to the town of Williston, South Carolina and broadcasts with an effective radiated power (ERP) of 2.55 kW.

History

WAAW signed on in late 1995 with a Classic R&B format as "94.7 The Boss". It was owned by legendary soul singer James Brown under his company Brown Family Broadcasting. Brown sold the station in 2002 and the format was changed to Urban Gospel.

The station is owned by Franky Neely.

Its slogan is "Making a difference in the community through Christ".
