It is a translator of WKSL-HD2, "97.9 KISS FM" and branded as 97.3 Planet Radio. Its format, active rock, was originally on 93.3 until 2005 and 107.3 until 2010 when the format was dropped for an oldies Format. In January of 2016, 106.9 switched to 97.3 rebranding as "97.3 Planet Radio" 106.9 flipped to an Alternative Rock format taking on rival station at Cox Radio "X102.9"
