Ace Comics
Vulcan first appears in Super-Mystery Comics #1, published by Ace Comics in (1940). His creator is unknown. The character lasted 17 issues until the company went out of business and the hero fell into public domain.

Golden Age Origin
Vulcan is the descendant of the Roman god of Fire. His powers included fire manipulation, flight, super-strength and invulnerability.
