Vocaltone is the first Digital Phone Service to offer SMS services from home phones. Usually SMS services are available only for Mobile phone users. Radius billing technology has been used to bill SMS services.
This service provider has redefined the VoIP terminology as Digital phones. A number of enhancements have been added to the technology. One such is, if the subscriber changes to another number, people who call the old number are notified of the change. This service has been offered by some traditional telephone service providers but have not heard with VoIP providers.

Vocaltone Networks Inc. offers digital home phone service in Canada and the United States, and includes unlimited calls to Canada, United States and France.
Vocaltone undertakes the supply and installation of Digital PBXs for small, medium and large businesses. They also replace existing analog PBXs with digital PBXs so customers who use Digital services can avoid having to change their existing phone company.
Vocaltone Australia Pty.Ltd., a member of TIO (Telecommunication Industry Ombudsman) have been offering Digital Phone plans in the Australian market. With Digital phone services, it offers calls all over Australia and free calls to a number of international destinations.
History
In 2003, Vocaltone Networks Canada commenced its operations in Hamilton and Toronto as a sole proprietor. After a year it was purchased by two separate owners to form Vocaltone Networks Inc., which is a CRTC registered company.
In 2004 Vocaltone Networks Australia Pty. Ltd was formed as a completely separate individual Australian enterprise to offer the same services across Australia.
