As of 1 January 2017, Bangladeshi citizens had visa-free or visa on arrival access to 38 countries and territories, ranking the Bangladeshi passport 95th in terms of travel freedom (tied with Iranian and Sri Lankan passports) according to the Henley visa restrictions index.
