Vilasrao Narayan Jagtap is a member of the 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He represents the Jath Assembly Constituency. He belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party He has been president of Sangli District Central Co-operative Bank Limited, between August, 2007 and December, 2009.
Controversy
Jagtap was removed from the Nationalist Congress Party for campaigning against the candidate his party allied with during the Lok Sabha elections in April, 2014. In May, 2015 Jagtap was accused of being an agent of wind turbine companies and acting against the interests of farmers.
