Vietnam's women's football championship is the highest league of women's football in Vietnam. The league was established in 1998 and is currently contested by 7 teams . The team with the most championships is coming from Hanoi. The league's attendance is very high with over 2,000 spectators per game in the 2010 season.

History

In 1998, the first tournament was held with two teams involved: Hochiminh City and Ha Noi. Ha Noi won the leagues first championship and also record champion with seven championships. Currently the tournament currently involves 6 teams. Vietnam women's football championship was the first football tournament for women in South East Asia.

Competition Format

Teams will play each other two times per season on a weekly basis. The team with the most points after that is the champion. How the scoring and ranking Order after Scores of teams (in order from high to low). The tiebreakers are:

  2. better in direct matches
  3. most goals
