Vesthaugen Nunatak (71°42′S 23°40′E) is a nunatak rising to 1,400 m, standing 15 nautical miles (28 km) northwest of Brattnipane Peaks in the Sor Rondane Mountains. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers in 1946 from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936–37, and in 1957 from air photos taken by U.S. Navy Operation Highjump, 1946-47. It was named Vesthaugen (meaning "the west hill") by the Norwegians.
