A Vessels General Permit (VGP) is an United States Environmental Protection Agency permit for the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES). Commercial Vessels that do incidental discharges in United States waters that are greater than 79 feet in length are covered by the permit. Also covered are Ballast water discharge from vessels of all sizes. The permit regulates any of the 26 discharges stated by the EPA.

Requirements

Managers can apply for VGP electronically through the EPA's eNOI system.
