Vatica odorata is a tree in the Dipterocarpaceae family. It grows as a canopy tree up to 40 metres (130 ft) tall, with a trunk diameter of up to 60 centimetres (24 in). The specific epithet odorata is from the Latin meaning "scented", referring to the flowers. Habitat is mixed dipterocarp forests from sea-level to 1,900 metres (6,200 ft) altitude. V. odorata is found from China to Indochina to Malesia.
