Vanguard Youth (Vietnam)

Vanguard Youth (Vietnamese: Thanh Niên Tiền Phong), a youth mass organization established by Japan, on April 21, 1945, but Indochinese Communist Party put people in hold.

Vanguard Youth worked as a patriotic, legal organization in the southern part of the country. It was led by Dr. Pham Ngoc Thach of communist party.

During the summer of 1945, it recruited 200,000 members. Soon, it had over a million members in Cochinchina. Vanguard Youth joined the Viet Minh in August 1945, and embarked in the August Revolution.
