In 2001, Marquez signed to Arista as a joint venture with Star Trak Entertainment, owned by Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo of the The Neptunes. Marquez also did backup vocals with Bow Wow, Nelly and Usher.

In the last year of her contract with Star Trak Entertainment, Marquez was to join a Latin R&B group with Natasha Ramos; however, plans fell through and she opted to leave the label instead of renewing her contact.
