Victor Grimmy Owusu (born July 20, 1987), better known by his stage name V.I.C., is an American rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. His single, "Get Silly", reached #29 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2008.

Early life

V.I.C. was born Victor Grimmy Owusu in 1987 in Queens, New YorkHe is Ghanaian. At ten he wrote his first song, a drug awareness rap for his elementary school. Later that year he moved with his family to College Park, Georgia, an Atlanta suburb. After graduating from high school he worked as a freelance barber.

2008-09: Beast

His debut album Beast was released on August 26, 2008. The album charted at number 73 on the billboard 200 selling 8,000 the first week.

2016-present: Revenge of the Beast

He is currently working on his sophomore album, Revenge of the Beast which is set for a release on Young Mogul Records, Reprise Records and Big H Entertainment. Back in August 6, 2009, his first single was Say Bow featuring former SODMG artist J. Futuristic and the song is produced by Mr. Hanky. It will have guests including Bow Wow, Soulja Boy Tell 'Em, Unk, Olivia, Tyga, T-Pain, Trevor Jackson, Lady Leshurr, Big K.R.I.T., Wiz Khalifa, André 3000, and numerous others.

He has already made songs with Rich Kid$, Mario, and Bobby V. He plans to not only remaster, but remake "Take Me Home" prod. by Haz Da Futcha, "Party Ova Here" prod. by Outsyders, and "G.A.(Georgia, Atlanta)" for the album. It will include production from Mr. Collipark, Hit-Boy, Metro Boomin, Young Fyre, Big K.R.I.T., DJ Mustard, The Runners, Young Chop, The Beat Bully, and many other producers. On April 6, 2012, he released a single called "Twerk It" and the song is produced by Dee Money. In 2015, he made an interview where he announced his name change to "Genius". A few months later, he changed his name back to V.I.C and released a single called "Snapchat (Pose For The Camera)".
