A VGA box is a video converter that convert common analog video standards such as S-Video and component video to VGA format. Some VGA boxes include audio outputs for connecting to computer speakers. Others models include devices that convert VGA signals to composite, S-video or component video, as well as SCART in Europe. A VGA to HDMI converter, digitizes incoming analog VGA signal and upscales to 720P or 1080P HDTV resolutions and enables an analog VGA video source to be displayed on a HDTV via HDMI connection. The scaling engine ensures the VGA output fits the full HDTV screen with no image shifting or alignment issues
