Vĩnh Tường is a rural district of Vĩnh Phúc Province in the Red River Delta region of northern Vietnam. As of 2003 the district had a population of 189,970. The district covers an area of 142 km². The district capital lies at Vĩnh Tường.

The district's main occupation is agriculture, with the main products are rice, maize, soya. It is famous for many craft villages, as villages Bích Chu & Thủ Độ (carpentry), Lý Nhân (blacksmith), and Thổ Tang (wholesale trade). Otherwise, there are some celebrities, such as, female poet Hồ Xuân Hương, Nguyễn Viết Xuân (artillery commander, revolutionary martyr), Lê Xoay (revolutionary martyr).
In terms of culture, most Vĩnh Tường's people have no religion at all, but main bilief is ancestor worship. Beside the traditional festivals, there is a regional particular festival. It is a party of 18 communes in the district (such as An Tường, Tuân Chính ...) with two main dishes is Chưng cake (Square or cylinder glutinous rice green cake, filled with green bean paste and fat pork) and Dày cake (round sticky rice white cake), are made from glutinous rice.
