History

In 1928, Cowley Road School and School of Industry students transferred into the site on the Greenway, formerly occupied by the Uxbridge County School and was named Greenway County Secondary School. The school was re-built between 1968 and 1969. Greenway County Secondary School was renamed Uxbridge High School in 1991.

Ofsted inspected the school on 12 February 2014, and it was graded as 'requires improvement' in all areas. Its 2016 inspection logged improvements, with many areas now rated 'good', with the school remaining overall as 'requires improvement'.
