Urupema is a municipality in the state of Santa Catarina in the South region of Brazil. It has an area of approximately 353 km².

The city is one of the coldest in Brazil, with occasional snow. It is not unusual on the coldest days of winter for temperatures to reach –10 °C (14 °F). Any snowfall occurs during the winter and less frequently in fall and spring.
