The Urban Youth Racing School is a youth service dedicated to bringing inner-city youth to motor sports. UYRS is sponsored by the likes of NASCAR and Sprint. In 2006, Sprint awarded the School $45,000 USD.
History
The Urban Youth Racing School was started in 1998 by sports marketer Anthony Martin. It was founded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and recently expanded its operations to Washington, DC.
