The 2000 United States presidential election in Virginia took place on November 7, 2000 throughout all 50 states and D.C., which was part of the 2000 United States presidential election. Voters chose 13 representatives, or electors to the Electoral College, who voted for President and Vice President.

Virginia, a state that hadn't gone Democratic since 1964, was won by Governor George W. Bush with a margin of victory of 8%. It would not vote Democratic again until 2008.

Analysis
Despite the small margin of victory, Bush won most of the rural areas and the highly populated areas such as Fairfax County and Prince William County. Gore's strongest performance was within the greater Fairfax County area, Virginia's 8th congressional district and Virginia's 11th congressional district, both of which he won. He also managed to win Virginia's 3rd congressional district.
