The 1956 United States presidential election in Montana took place on November 6, 1956 throughout the continuous 48 states, but not Alaska or Hawaii which would be admitted to the Union in 1959. Voters chose 4 representatives, or electors to the Electoral College, who voted for President and Vice President.
Montana overwhelmingly voted for the Republican nominee, President Dwight D. Eisenhower, over the Democratic nominee, former Illinois Governor Adlai Stevenson. Eisenhower won Montana by a massive margin of 14.26%.
