The 1988 United States Presidential Election in Indiana took place on November 8, 1988.
Indiana voters chose George H.W. Bush over Michael Dukakis by a 20-point margin. George H. W. Bush's vice president, Dan Quayle, was from this state. No Democratic candidate has won this state since 1964, until Barack Obama broke this record in 2008.
