This is a list of Ambassadors of the United States to Malta.

Until 1964 Malta was a part of the British Empire. Malta was granted full independence on September 21, 1964. The United States recognized the new nation and established full diplomatic relations. The Embassy of the United States was established in the Maltese capital Valletta on September 21, 1964, with Harrison Lewis as Chargé d'Affaires ad interim until an ambassador could be commissioned.
