Union of Economic Interests

The Union of Economic Interests (Portuguese: União dos Interesses Económicos, UIE) was a political party in Portugal.

History

The party was established in 1925, and represented the interests of conservative bankers, businessmen and managers. It won six seats in the House of Representatives in the parliamentary elections that year.

The party supported the 1926 coup, and did not contest any further elections.
