Uncompaghre County was a county of the State of Colorado that existed for only three days. Uncompaghre County was created by a temporary renaming of Ouray County in 1883.
History
On February 27, 1883, the Colorado General Assembly renamed Ouray County as Uncompaghre County. Three days later on March 2, 1883, the General Assembly changed its mind and changed the name of Uncompaghre County back to Ouray County.
