Ulysses Doubleday (August 31, 1824 – February 11, 1893) was an American Union brevet brigadier general during the period of the American Civil War. He was the younger brother of the much more famous Civil War general Abner Doubleday and the son of congressman and War of 1812 veteran Ulysses F. Doubleday and Hester Donnelly. He served as a major and commander of the 4th New York Heavy Artillery and on the staff of his brother. He later served with the 3rd United States Colored Troops and as colonel led the 45th United States Colored Troops. He was discharged on September 12, 1865; and received his appointment as brevet brigadier general backdated to March 13, 1865. After the war he was a member of the NY Stock Exchange, the Union League, and the Saint Nicholas Society of NY. He later retired to a large farm in Asheville, NC.
