Ultra-Trail lago d'Orta is a long distance race Trail running, in the mountain environment in the Italy, and one of the most important in Italy. The total route has a length of 85 km (53 mi)[1] and a cumulative elevation gain of 5.500 meters, and elevation loss of 5.500 meters.[2] Already in 2009 the event has seen many foreign participants from all the Europe. The 4th edition of the race in the 2014 will start from Omegna town on the lakeshore.
