The Field Elm cultivar Ulmus minor 'Virgata' was described by Pepin [1] (as Ulmus campestris virgata) in Revue Horticole 1865: 347, 1865.

Description

Pepin described the tree as having slender, erect branches bestowing a fastigiate form.

Cultivation

No specimens are known to survive. Planted before 1789 near Nangis, Seine-et-Marne.
