Weston described the tree simply as having leaves variegated with yellow.

The tree is not known to be in commerce, nor to have been introduced to North America or Australasia.

Notable trees

Four trees are reputed to survive in Edinburgh, along Castle Terrace; last measured in 1989, the largest was 18 m high, 62 cm d.b.h.
