Ukoncha (ウコン茶, "turmeric tea") is a kind of turmeric tea which originates from Okinawa, in southern Japan. Ukoncha is made of the rhizomes of turmeric.
Ukoncha is said to be good for health as it helps to assist digestion, improve liver function and reduce the effects of hangovers.
In the anime Azumanga Daioh, one of the characters rapidly says "Ukoncha" in an effort to make it sound like "Unkocha," or "Poo-Tea"
