Uday Pratap Singh (born 1933) is an Indian titular Raja of former Zamindari Bhadri of Oudh from 1970 to present, succeeded by his uncle last ruler Raja Rai Bajrang Bahadur Singh. He is one of the prominent Hindu leader of RSS and VHP, India based nationalist Hindu organization and environmentalist who is working for the forest conservation in India.

Early life and education
Uday born in 1933 in Bisen clan of Rajput as the only son of Kunwar Trilochan Pratap Singh and his wife Rukmini Devi. He educated at The Doon School, Dehradun. Uday Pratap is nephew of Raja Bajrang Bahadur Singh of Bhadri (1905–1970) who was the first vice-chancellor of Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology and later served as second Governor of Himachal Pradesh. Since last ruler of Bhadri, Raja Bajrang Bahadur had no son, he adopted his nephew Uday Pratap Singh as his heir.
Personal life
Singh wed Manjul Raje who hails from erstwhile princely state Samthar. Raje is said to be quite religious. Kunwar Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya, a very well known politician of Uttar Pradesh is son of Raja Uday Pratap Singh and his wife Manjul Raje of Samthar.
Throne of Bhadri
Singh ascended the title of ruler of Bhadri in 1970 following the death of his uncle Raja of Bhadri Raja Rai Bajrang Bahadur Singh, and held the title of Raja. Uday, the titular Raja of Bhadri from 1970 to 28 December 1971,
Maharaja Uday Pratap still flies the flag of Bhadri on the top of his palace. Singh, although having no real and legal administrative power, is a popular and respected figure not only in Bhadri and Kunda but in whole Pratapgarh.
Association with RSS and VHP
From his early age, Singh is associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). A devout Hindu, he is strong links with the RSS and VHP. Uday Pratap Singh donated some part of his property to RSS.
Imprisonment under POTA
An FIR was launched against Uday Pratap Singh's legislator son Raja Bhaiya in 2002 by Bhartiya Janata Party's MLA Puran Singh Bundela for accusing of kidnapping. The Mayawati government misused Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) and sent jail his son Raja Bhaiya along with him (Uday Pratap Singh) and Akshay Pratap Singh under POTA. Although, Akshay Pratap Singh managed to get bail but court rejected bail of Uday and his son Raghuraj. This time he had to spent one year jail. However, within half an hour of becoming chief minister in 2003, Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav dropped all charges.
Criminal activities and charges
Bhadri family patriarch Uday Singh faced charges under the National Security Act in 1981. He was booked under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act (Tada) in 1986 when Veer Bahadur Singh, was the state chief minister. He was also booked under the Gangsters Act and Explosive Act in 1992 and 1993. As many as 34 criminal cases have been registered in police station of Pratapgarh and neighbouring Sultanpur district against him.
Garden and forest conservation
Kunda, a small town in Pratapgarh has vast tracts of green, including several mango orchards, credited to Singh who is the chief patron of the Gardens and Environment Committee that work for forest conservation in the area. He is founder and chief patron of "Trilochan Pratap Singh Baugh Evam Paryavaran Sanrakshan Samiti" that works for garden and forest conservation and creates awareness to people regarding environment protection in Pratapgarh. Ban on plastic bag
Raja Uday Pratap Singh became one of the first person to ban the use of plastic bags in Uttar Pradesh. In Kunda, use of plastic bag is strictly prohibited, especially in village near by Bhadri.
