Ubehebe Craters

The Ubehebe Craters are an isolated group of overlapped maars in the Cottonwood Mountains, beyond the upper end of Death Valley, in Inyo County, California, U.S.

They were formed during a period of phreatic eruptions along a fault line in Death Valley National Park.

The youngest volcanic feature is Ubehebe Crater. Immediately south of Ubehebe Crater lies Little Hebe Crater, the second oldest maar in the Ubehebe Craters volcanic field.
