USS Van Buren has been the name of two ships in the United States Navy. The first ship was named after President Martin Van Buren, while the second was named after the city of Van Buren, Arkansas.

  • USS Van Buren (1839), a schooner-rigged revenue cutter
  • USS Van Buren (PF-42), a Tacoma-class patrol frigate in commission from 1943 to 1946
  • Fiction

USS Van Buren is also a fictional aircraft carrier in both the comic strip Doonesbury and the NCIS: Los Angeles episodes "Free Ride" and "Deep Trouble (Part II)." The latter depicted her as a Gerald R. Ford-class aircraft carrier based on her hull number of CVN-82 and Sam stating she has only two nuclear reactors.
