U s chamber of commerce foundation 2016 highlights

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation (previously the National Chamber Foundation until January 2013) is the non-profit arm of the United States Chamber of Commerce. The Foundation is dedicated to strengthening America’s long-term competitiveness. It educates the public on the conditions necessary for business and communities to thrive, how business positively impacts communities, and emerging issues and creative solutions that will shape the future.

The Foundation focuses its work on educating the public on how businesses do well, do good, and prepare for the future. The Foundation includes several "centers" devoted to research on a variety of issues relating to the business world and Free Enterprise system. They include:

Hiring Our Heroes - Offers a range of programs, including hiring fairs, to connect military service members, veterans, and military spouses with meaningful employment opportunities.

Center for Education and Workforce - Research and programs to connect education and workforce reforms to economic development.

Corporate Citizenship Center - Offers resources on how businesses can help make the world a better place. Programs include community health, disaster relief, environmental sustainability, and women's economic empowerment.

Institute for Organizational Management - Professional development program for association chamber professionals.

In addition to its centers, the Chamber Foundation holds events and carries out initiatives on a wide range of topics including data-driven innovation and business trends in states and cities.
