Turkey took part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 with Athena. There was national final to select song in 2004. Instead, TRT chose Athena to represent Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 in Istanbul with the song "For Real".

The song was such a success at the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 that it became 4th in the final.
