TunnelBear (also known as the TunnelBear VPN) is a virtual private network (VPN) developed by TunnelBear Inc. The TunnelBear app is currently available on Android, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and iOS. There is also a Google Chrome extension, and Linux distros can be configured to use TunnelBear. TunnelBear, like other VPNs, has the ability to bypass content blocking in most countries. TunnelBear allows the user to appear in one of 20 different countries (including Ireland, the United States of America, Sweden, and Italy), as well as to connect to the closest tunnel. The desktop client uses AES-256 encryption while the extension uses AES 128-bit encryption. When connected, the user's actual IP address will not be visible to the websites visited.
