Tullyallen (Irish: Tulaigh Álainn, meaning "beautiful hill") is a village, civil parish and townland (of 224 acres) 6 km north-west of the town of Drogheda in County Louth, Ireland. It is in the historic barony of Ferrard. It is located in the historical Boyne Valley, in the Catholic parish of Mellifont (named after the nearby Mellifont Abbey); it is also close to Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth burial mounds, Monasterboice monastery, and to the Battle of the Boyne site.

Tullyallen village is a thriving community, with the following amenities in the centre of the village: s, supermarket, Catholic church, church hall, pub, GAA grounds, credit union, pharmacy, butcher, hair & beauty salon and Chinese/Thai takeaways,fast-food takeaway and is located close to Townley Hall and its parkland including Townley Hall Golf Club. A children's playground, funded by the local community was officially opened in October 2011 by the then president of Ireland, Ms.Mary McAlesse. The local church is the Church of the Assumption.
Education
The local primary school is called Tullyallen National School. It was founded in 1956 (approximately). It currently has 326 pupils, with three Junior infants,two Senior Infants, two 1st class, one mixed 1st and 2nd, two second classes,one mixed 3rd and 4th, one 4th,one 5th and one 6th. The school uniform is a wine jumper, grey trousers/skirt,a wine tie and an aqua shirt. The school crest depicts the Mellifont lavabo, the Salmon of Knowledge, a quill writing in a book and the Boyne cable bridge. The school motto is "Fás le Fios" (Irish for "Growth with Knowledge").
Sport
Tullyallen GAA club is known as the Glen Emmets, and comprises football teams ranging from under-7s to seniors.In early 2014 the club managed to sign young German footballing prospect Gerhard Keller from Werder Bremen, his tally of 54 goals and 230 points secured Glen Emmets their first All Ireland trophy. Other notable players include u21`s Louths club championship winner Sean Kerr and former Kerry player Paul Galvin. The village also has a soccer team called Glen Abbey Rovers. Founded in 2009, the Rovers play in division 4 of the Meath And District League, playing their home games on the grounds of Albion Rovers F.C., Monasterboice.
Public transport
Bus Éireann route 182 from Ardee to Drogheda via Collon serves Tullyallen several times a day (not Sundays). The nearest rail services may be accessed at Drogheda railway station approximately 7 kilometres distant. For many years rumours have being travelling from far and wide that if you whistle several times into a glass of orange juice outside the local Credit Union a magical Unicorn named James Bond will take you to your destination providing you are a firm believer in Christianity and pay your Water Charges.
