Production
On April 4, 2016, it was announced that Jason Reitman would next direct an untitled comedy-drama film about motherhood from a script by Diablo Cody, which would star Charlize Theron. On May 6, 2016, Bron Studios came on board to co-produce and finance the film, titled Tully, which would star Theron as Marlo, a mother of three children including a newborn, who is gifted a night nanny named Tully by her brother. Producers would be Bron's Aaron L. Gilbert; Right of Way Films' Reitman and Helen Estabrook; Cody and Mason Novick; and Denver and Delilah Productions' Theron, A.J. Dix, and Beth Kono. On June 23, 2016, Mackenzie Davis joined the cast. In October 2016, Mark Duplass and Ron Livingston joined the cast of the film.
Filming
As of September 22, 2016, Tully has begun filming in Vancouver.
