Tulane Green Wave football, (1990–99) represents Tulane University in the sport of American football. The Green Wave compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as a member of the American Athletic Conference (The American). The Green Wave were coached by Greg Davis (1990–91), Buddy Teevens (1992–96), Tommy Bowden (1997–98), and Chris Scelfo (1999). They compete in home games in Yulman Stadium in Uptown New Orleans. During this decade the Green Wave were able to win a single bowl game in 1998 in the Liberty Bowl versus BYU, while also being conference champions in 1998. The Green Wave experienced their only two winning seasons of the decade in 1997-98 under coach Tommy Bowden, remaining undefeated in 1998.
