Women's professional volleyball Pepper Savings Bank has recruited a new coach. The Pepper Savings Bank club announced on the 4th that it has brought in John Grossman as its new coach.
Grossman is expected to replace Lee Sung-hee, who has moved to the youth position.
"(Coach Grossman) has been coaching in the U.S. and Canada for about 20 years," the club said. "I think it will help strengthen the team's defensive organization."
John Grossman, who served as a coach for the North Carolina State University volleyball team, has been recruited as the new coach of the women's professional volleyball Pepper Savings Bank.
Grossman began his leadership career in 2004 as a coach of the YMCA youth volleyball team in the western United States. He later attended the Delaware Military Academy and Arcadia University. Most recently, he served as a support coach for the North Carolina State University volleyball team.
He also consulted the Canadian men's volleyball team last year (2022). In addition, he was also a leader at the volleyball camp and the coaching education organization Gold Medal Square.
"Coach Grossman has expertise in building a solid defense system by strengthening defensive skills such as dig and blocking," the club said. "Coach Grossman's expertise will play a key role in strengthening the team's defense and improving performance."
